The PENTAX K10D Digital SLR Camera Wins
“EISA European Camera of the Year 2007-2008”

Mississauga, ON – August 14, 2007
PENTAX is pleased to announce that the PENTAX K10D digital SLR camera has been selected as the “EISA European Camera of the Year 2007-2008” by the prestigious European Imaging & Sound Association (EISA).
EISA is an organization comprised by nearly 50 leading Photo, Video, Audio, Home Theater, and Mobile Electronics magazines from 18 European countries. Every year, EISA selects outstanding products from all the products introduced to the European market in the previous year, and awards a prize.
The EISA panel concluded that the PENTAX K10D is the ideal camera for both enthusiast and advanced users. Offering 10.2 effective megapixel resolution, the PENTAX-original SR (Shake Reduction) mechanism delivers sharp and crisp photographs, even at slow shutter speeds. The high performance A/D converter with the highest resolving power of 22 bits, faithfully converts a large volume of data, enabling the K10D to produce high-definition, true-to life images through the newly incorporated imaging engine. Its dust and water-resistant construction makes the K10D suitable to use in almost all conditions.
The PENTAX K10D was also selected as the Best D-SLR Expert in Europe 2007 by Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) and the Camera Grand Prix 2007 by Camera Journal Press Club (CJPC) in Japan. By winning the EISA European Camera of the Year 2007-2008, the K10D has won all three major awards in Europe and Japan.
